Optimal Security Through Easy Installation: Functionality of the KRONSGUARD CTL MEGAA Container Lock

The operation of this sturdy container lock is similar to comparable products on the market. This container security lock functions as a door bar lock, clamping securely around the rotating door bars on both the left and right sides of the container door. The left section of the lock comprises a clamp that fits around the container’s rotating bars, coupled with a massive cast iron bolt. A recess on the back of the bar clamp ensures that the left part of the container lock fits snugly around the container’s rotating bars. This design prevents any shifting or displacement of the lock. The right section of the lock also features a clamp that fits around the door bars. It slides onto the cast iron bolt and is adjusted as far as possible. The entire lock is then secured with the included PL-700 padlock by inserting the shackle from above into the locking mechanism and securing it from below with the padlock body.

The design of the KRONSGUARD CTL MEGAA container lock closely resembles the VdS-certified Omega container lock. Notches or “claws” on the side facing the container door, as with the Omega lock, ensure a secure fit and add an extra level of security against break-ins and theft. This design addresses a common tactic where thieves may saw sections of the container’s door bars, allowing a lock to be shifted away from the sawed section without breaking the lock itself. Since the KRONSGUARD CTL MEGAA cannot be shifted, the only option left for intruders is to physically destroy the lock.
