Security seals are generally available in different security levels. Depending on tensile strength, there are indicative seals, security seals, and high-security seals. Our cable seals from Kronsguard are certified in these categories according to ISO guidelines:

Indicative Seals - Sealing and Marking of Your Goods

Indicative seals are typically seals with lower tensile strength. They are used to mark the integrity of goods and transport containers. Despite their lower tensile strength, these cable seals have unique security features that prevent seal replacement and thus make tampering attempts immediately recognizable. The special twisting of the steel cable of the seal prevents it from being resealed after the cable is cut. Our 1.5mm cable seals are ISO certified in this category.

Security Seals - Robust Construction for Increased Security

These robust cable seals function similarly to indicative seals but are much more robust due to their larger cable diameter. Not only do these seals prevent tampering attempts, they also make access to your goods more difficult. Once applied, these cable seals can only be opened with tools such as pliers or bolt cutters. Due to the increased tensile strength, security seals can also be used when seals must withstand challenging external conditions. Common applications for seals in this security category include sealing swap bodies, railcars, truck doors, and air freight containers. Our CableLock cable seal with 2.5mm diameter is ISO certified in this category.

High Security Seals - Maximum Security Standards for Highest Demands

As the name of this category suggests, only extremely resistant cable seals receive certification in this category. Our CableLock 3.5mm and 5.0mm seals are ISO certified in this category. Seals of this security level are suitable for overseas transportation due to their properties. Opening these seals is exclusively possible with bolt cutters or heavier tools.
